Hyde Park is one of the largest London parks with the 28 acre Serpentine lake in the middle, which was originally fed by the river Westbourne. Today the park is popular with joggers, swimmers (everyday come rain or shine, and even breaking the ice in winter), horse-riders, in-line skaters and dog walkers and boating. The Peter Pan statue and the Diana Princess of Wales memorial are just two of many attractions that can be found in the park.

The most famous landmark of all though is Speaker’s Corner a place that upholds the very principles of free speech and where anybody can stand on a soap box and spout forth about any subject.
The park is also home to numerous pop concerts and of course the Serpentine Gallery, which focuses on modern and contemporary art.
